Player Infractions Charging- Hitting an opposing player in the back, causing him to be driven into the fence face first.
Clipping-Hitting an opposing player in the back, while player is not directly involved with the flow of play or when said player is retrieving a loose ball, is in a vulnerable position and is checked.
Delay of Game-Any player or netminder that delays the game by deliberately halting the flow of play, by covering the ball in a manner that impedes further progress.
Diving-Embellishing the severity or a complete faking of a penalty in order to gain an advantage in play.
Elbowing-A wreckless movement of the elbow in the direction of an opposing player.
Holding-The grabbing or pulling of opposing player in any excessive manner. (ie: Jersey, body parts)
Illegal Bodycheck-The act of throwing the body, from any direction, across or below the knees of an opponent with the sole intent to check the opponent in the area of the knees.
Loose Ball Foul-Purposely using the foot to make contact with a loose ball, that is not intended to be a shot on goal.
Netminder Interference-Purposely making contact with opposing netminder inside the crease. NOTE: Should the netminder step out of the goal crease, full contact is permitted as he is now considered a floor player.
Offside-A player is considered offside if said player is in his offensive zone receives a pass while behind the opposing teams last defensive floor player, from a teammate who is positioned in his defensive zone. If the last defensive floor player is in his own attacking zone, the offensive floor player is NOT considered offside. A player can receive a pass from his own teams netminder (usually via a fast break) and still be in an onside position.
Stacking-If the defending team has more than one defender (excluding the netminder) stationary in the goal crease.
Roughing-Any overly excessive violent holding or pushing of an opposing player.
Tripping-Purposeful leg to leg contact, causing the opposing player to be diverted from play.
