Player Infractions Holding - (Severity either a 2 minute penalty or a spot foul) The grabbing or pulling of opposing player in any excessive manner. (ie: Jersey, body parts) Clipping - (2 minute penalty) Hitting an opposing player in the back, while player is not directly involved with the flow of play. NOTE: This rule does not apply while in "The Pack" Tripping - (Spot Foul) Purposeful leg to leg contact, causing the opposing player to be diverted from play. Charging - (3 minute penalty) Hitting an opposing player in the back, causing him to be driven into the fence face first. Elbowing - (2 minute penalty) An elbow purposely thrown in the direction of an opposing player. Diving - (3 minute penalty) Embellishing the severity or a complete faking of a penalty in order to gain an advantage in play. Netminder Interference - (Spot Foul) Purposely making contact with opposing netminder inside the crease. NOTE: Should the netminder step out of the goal crease, full contact is permitted. Loose Ball Foul - (Spot Foul) Blatantly using your foot to make contact with a loose ball, that is not intended to be a shot on goal. |
